After completing my ID project I definitely feel more comfortable with the ID process and the ADDIE model. The biggest benefit I see is that by completing the ID process the training is better suited to the learners. When done right, ID can eliminate common problems that occur with training like the "one size fits all" training sessions.
Since the new Middle School building will not be completed until January, I do plan to continue my project in the real world. My biggest obstacle will be to find/train other trainers. The problem is that some of the other SME's are not comfortable training and some of the good trainers are not comfortable with the content.
Overall I am satisfied with this course. I feel that I learned a lot of practical ideas that I can apply to both my role as a technology team member and my role as a classroom teacher. ID principles just make common sense.
